Lyrics: Long Live – Taylor Swift

image

Taylor Swift

I still remember this moment
In the back of my mind
The time we stood with our shaking hands
The crowds in stands went wild

We were the kings and the queens
And they read off our names
The night you danced like you knew our lives
Would never be the same

You held your head like a hero
On a history book page
It was the end of a decade
But the start of an age

Long live the walls we crashed through
While the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming, long live all the magic we made
And bring on all the pretenders, one day we will be remembered

I said, remember this feeling
I passed the pictures around
Of all the years that we stood there on the sidelines
Wishing for right now

We are the kings and the queens
You traded your baseball cap for a crown
When they gave us our trophies
And we held them up for our town

And the cynics were outraged
Screaming, this is absurd
‘Cause for a moment a band of thieves
In ripped-up jeans got to rule the world

Long live the walls we crashed through
While the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming, long live all the magic we made
And bring on all the pretenders, I’m not afraid

Long live all the mountains we moved
I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you
I was screaming, long live the look on your face
And bring on all the pretenders, one day we will be remembered

Hold on to spinning around
Confetti falls to the ground
May these memories break or fall

And you take a moment
Promise me this
That you’ll stand by me forever
But if God forbid fate should step in

And force us into a goodbye
If you have children someday
When they point to the pictures
Please tell them my name

Tell them how the crowds went wild
Tell them how I hope they shine

Long live the walls we crashed through
I had the time of my life with you

Long, long live the walls we crashed through
All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
And I was screaming, long live all the magic we made
And bring on all the pretenders, I’m not afraid

Singing, long live all the mountains we moved
I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you
And long, long live the look on your face
And bring on all the pretenders, one day we will be remembered

Speak Now – Taylor Swift (Lyrics)

Speak Now by Taylor Swift

Speak Now by Taylor Swift

I am not the kind of girl
Who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion
But you are not the kind of boy
Who should be marrying the wrong girl

I sneak in and see your friends
And her snotty little family all dressed in pastel
And she is yelling at a bridesmaid
Somewhere back inside her room wearing a gown shaped like a pastry

This is surely not what you thought it would be
I lose myself in a daydream
Where I stand and say

Don’t say yes, run away now
I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door
Don’t wait or say a single vow
You need to hear me out and they said speak now

Fond gestures are exchanged
And the organ starts to play a song that sounds like a death march
And I am hiding in the curtains
It seems that I was uninvited by your lovely bride to be

She floats down the aisle like a pageant queen
But I know you wish it was me
You wish it was me, don’t you?

Don’t say yes, run away now
I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door
Don’t wait or say a single vow
You need to hear me out and they said speak now

Don’t say yes, run away now
I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door
Don’t wait or say a single vow
Your time is running out and they said speak now

I hear the preacher say speak now or forever hold your peace
There’s a silence, there’s my last chance
I stand up with shaking hands
All eyes on me

Horrified looks from everyone in the room
But I’m only looking at you

I am not the kind of girl
Who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion
But you are not the kind of boy
Who should be marrying the wrong girl

So don’t say yes, run away now
I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door
Don’t wait or say a single vow
You need to hear me out and they said speak now

And you’ll say let’s run away now
I’ll meet you when I’m out of my tux at the back door
Baby, I didn’t say my vows
So glad you were around when they said speak now

You were in college working part time waiting tables
Left a small town, never looked back
I was a flight risk with a fear of falling
Wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts

I say can you believe it?
As we’re lying on the couch
The moment I could see it
Yes, yes, I can see it now

Do you remember we were sitting there by the water?
You put your arm around me for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter
You are the best thing that’s ever been mine

Flash forward and we’re taking on the world together
And there’s a drawer of my things at your place
You learn my secrets and you figure out why I’m guarded
You say we’ll never make my parents’ mistakes

But we got bills to pay
We got nothing figured out
When it was hard to take
Yes, yes, this is what I thought about

Do you remember we were sitting there by the water?
You put your arm around me for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter
You are the best thing that’s ever been mine

Do you remember all the city lights on the water?
You saw me start to believe for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter
You are the best thing that’s ever been mine

And I remember that fight, 2:30 a.m.
As everything was slipping right out of our hands
I ran out crying and you followed me out into the street

Braced myself for the goodbye
‘Cause that’s all I’ve ever known
Then you took me by surprise
You said I’ll never leave you alone

You said I remember how we felt sitting by the water
And every time I look at you, it’s like the first time
I fell in love with a careless man’s careful daughter
She is the best thing that’s ever been mine

Hold on, make it last
Hold on, never turn back
You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter
You are the best thing that’s ever been mine

Do you believe it?
We’re gonna make it now
I can see it
I can see it now

Ed Sheeran Admires Taylor Swift’s Dry Sense of Humor: “She’s Like The Office”

Taylor Swift ‘s a funny gal, and her pal Ed Sheeran likes that about her.

The English singer-songwriter caught up with E! News at the Teen Choice Awards yesterday, and told Jason Kennedy that his time in the U.S. has been memorable.

“It’s been fun. I’ve had a cool year. I spent nine months of in in America—well, eight months going on nine—it’s been fun,” he said.

Sheeran’s time in America was spent on the road as the opening act for T.Swift’s Red tour, so clearly these two became close, which means Ed knows a thing or two about Taylor that the rest of the world may not know. Like her sense of humor, for example.

Yes, we are all aware that Swift can crack a joke, but Sheeran explains that his road partner has “the most English sense of humor out of any American I’ve ever met.”

He clarified, “She’s just dry, she has a very dry sense of humor and Americans are usually like slapstick comedy, that’s the big thing but she’s very English. She’s like The Office. English Office, not Steve CarellRicky Gervais.”

Well, that’s quite the compliment.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift revealed during an interview with Look magazine that she doesn’t want to write breakup songs forever. Taylor spilled that she will start writing songs based on other peoples’ lives and experiences soon.

“I’m sure at some point in my career I’ll branch out and do albums that relate to other people’s stories or have a different overall theme. But I’ll always write from the heart and I’ll continue to write about love, because romance is something we are all looking for.”

Taylor Swift’s Must-Have Fall Fashions: “I Like a Good Velvet Shoe”

Taylor Swift

With fall just around the corner, many of us are stocking up on hefty September issues to read up on new trends to try out once the leaves turn.

But if you’re Taylor Swift , you’re not very likely to pay close attention to the styles sent down the runways.

As part of her promotion of her line with Keds, the country crooner recently sat down withMarie Claire fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi to discuss her fall fashion must-haves

And when asked if she followed trends closely, she replied with a straightforward—and pretty hilarious—reply.

“Not to the point where I have an impressive vocabulary about it,” she explained. “You know how some people have a fashion vocabulary where they’re like, ‘Oh my God, those lines in that new—I died, I died!”

Hmmm, who she could possibly be referring to?

Having said that, TayTay did admit she has a soft spot for fab fashions but nevertheless tries to keep things a bit practical when it comes to her personal wardrobe.

“I love following fashion but sometimes when the trend is everyone is dressing like a motorcycle driver or they’re wearing a scuba suit and it doesn’t really apply to my life, I take what applies to my life.”

So, what will the blonde beauty reach for this fall?

“I like a good velvet shoe. That’s something I like,” she confessed. “I would love to be able to incorporate that into what I wear.”

Aside from that, she’ll try to keep things classically cool with the tan, camel and other neutral hues that always dominate the season.

“But for fall I really stick to like the neutral tones, like browns and just kind of like the darker colors but not full-on, not full-on like winter black.”

What do you think of Taylor’s fall fashion tips?

Taylor Swift Talks About The Only Kind Of Love She Wants In Her Life

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift sat down with Rolling Stone magazine to talk about being in love, and the type of relationships she wants from now on. Taylor spilled that the only love she wants is the love worth singing about!

“I am getting to the point where the only love worth being in is the love worth singing about. And kind of mad love. I think that for me, when you experience something that’s worth writing a song about, chances are it’s the same kind of intense feeling that someone else has felt, and it has led them to be sitting on a bedroom floor crying, or walking through a crowded room feeling alone or feeling misunderstood by the person who’s supposed to know them better than anybody else. Those are things that make you feel really alone, and if someone’s singing a song about that feeling, then you feel bonded to that person, and I guess that’s the only way I can find an explanation why 55,000 people would want to come see me sing.”

Taylor Swift Terrified After Shark Showdown!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift was terrified of the water when she was a kid! It turns out that Taylor used to spend her summers at the Jersey shore where she and her family always saw a bunch of animals right near their dock on the water! Well, some of the animals were a bit too scary for Taylor!

Taylor revealed, via Twist magazine:

“We lived on this basin where all this magical stuff would happen. One time, a dolphin swam right into our basin. A family of otters would live on our dock at night. Then one summer, a shark washed up on our dock. I ended up writing a novel that summer because I wouldn’t go in the water!”

Lyrics: The A Team – Ed Sheeran

The A Team by Ed Sheeran

The A Team by Ed Sheeran

White lips, pale face
Breathing in snowflakes
Burnt lungs, sour taste
Light’s gone, day’s end
Struggling to pay rent
Long nights, strange men

And they say
She’s in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we’re just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
And she don’t want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It’s too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly

Ripped gloves, raincoat
Tried to swim and stay afloat
Dry house, wet clothes
Loose change, bank notes
Weary-eyed, dry throat
Cool girl, no phone

And they say
She’s in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we’re just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
And she don’t want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It’s too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly

And they say
She’s in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we’re just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
And she don’t want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It’s too cold outside
For angels to fly
For angels to fly
To fly
For angels to die

Taylor Swift Rules Billboard.com’s 2013 Mid-Year Music Awards

Taylor Swift continued a stellar year by dominating the 2013 edition of Billboard.com’s Mid-Year Music Awards poll, which allowed fans to weigh in on their favorite artists, songs, albums and performance of the first six months of the year. After voting officially concluded when June rolled over into July, hundreds of thousands of entries were tallied and the 23-year-old country superstar came out on top in three key categories, including the coveted First-Half MVP contest.

Swift, whose fourth studio album “Red” scored the biggest debut sales week of 2012 upon its release last October, has spent much of 2013 supporting the full-length on her massive Red world tour, which began in March and will continue through December. The singer has also taken time to perform at ceremonies like the 55th Annual Grammy Awards and the 2013 Billboard Music Awards — the latter at which she also won the Artist of the Year trophy — while also collecting more hits like “I Knew You Were Trouble, “22” and “Everything Has Changed” to follow her first Hot 100 chart-topper, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Billboard.com fans did their part in recognizing Swift’s many achievements over the past six months: she was named First-Half MVP, topping artists like Justin Timberlake and Beyonce handily; “Red,” which returned to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart earlier this year, was bestowed with the ‘Favorite Billboard 200 No. 1 Album’ award; and the Red tour trumped Rihanna’s Diamonds tour to earn the title of the voter’s favorite live show on 2013.

Meanwhile, stars like Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber all posted strong showings in multiple categories, but it was the fresh-faced Ariana Grande who most handily defeated her competition. The Nickelodeon star and “The Way” singer was named Best Newcomer by earning a whopping 50 percent of the votes in the category, trouncing closest competitors Icona Pop and being handed the title from last year’s Newcomer winners, One Direction. Another young female pop personality, Miley Cyrus, also found lots of success in this year’s mid-year poll, with wins in the Best Music Video, Best Comeback and Best Style competitions.

Other big winners from the Mid-Year Music Awards poll included P!nk, whose hit single “Just Give Me a Reason” (feat. Nate Ruess) topped a pair of Bruno Mars cuts to earn the Favorite Hot 100 No. 1 Song crown; Beyonce, whose powerhouse performance at the Super Bowl halftime show squeaked by Taylor Swift’s Billboard Music Awards display as fans’ favorite televised performance of the past six months; Swedish House Mafia, who bid farewell at the Ultra Music Festival and won the fan vote for Best Festival Performance; and Britney Spears, whose next musical project is the most anticipated event of 2013, according to fan votes.
